Professors and research assistents of the Department are actively engaged in teaching and in research activities widely recognized in the international community, research being an essential support to scientific knoweledge and an essential tool for the professional background of students.

A variety of contacts and joint ventures are at work with a number of research institutions , in particular the italian National Research Council (C.N.R.) and the European Community.
